Floating

From one of my favorite tho corny chick-flicks this quote hangs on one of the doors at work, and today I finally took the time to write it down. I really do like it, and find warmth in its message.

"Childhood is what you spend the rest of your life trying to overcome. Beginnings are usually scary, endings usually sad. But it is the middle that counts the most. Try to remember that when you find yourself at the beginning. Just give hope a chance to float up. And it will..." - Hope Floats (1998)

This last several months there have been many new beginnings, each of them overwhelming and nerve-racking. But a deep breath, a long pause and a lone foot forward followed by another step and everything seems to work out.

Thus far, hope has floated. I count on it to continue doing so.
